Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 29 March 2026

Welcome to GrubScan, a service provided by ArKoDo Group ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering for a Tenant account or using our API, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

GrubScan is a multi-tenant SaaS platform providing food intelligence via search, barcode lookup, and AI-powered photo analysis.

Accuracy Disclaimer: AI Photo Scans provide estimates only. Nutritional data is sourced from the USDA and Open Food Facts. We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data or AI interpretations. GrubScan is not a medical tool.

Availability: We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

Plans: Services are billed monthly based on your selected plan (Starter, Pro, or Scale).

Payments: Processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method monthly in advance.

Usage Limits: Each plan has monthly quotas for USDA lookups and AI scans. If limits are exceeded, the service will return a 429 Too Many Requests error until the next billing cycle or an upgrade occurs.

Upgrades/Downgrades: Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

3. Account Management

Tenants: You are responsible for all activity under your tenant account, including actions taken by invited team members.

API Security: Pro and Scale users must keep API Bearer tokens secure. You are liable for any usage costs incurred via your API keys.

Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend accounts for non-payment or breach of terms.

4. Intellectual Property

Our Content: We own the GrubScan platform, code, and brand.

Your Data: You retain rights to the photos you upload. However, you grant us a license to process these images via third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) to deliver the service.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, ArKoDo Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from reliance on nutritional data provided by the service.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
